Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (DFH) to support our project management team in executing commercial construction projects involving doors, frames, and hardware. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in the DFH trade while gaining hands-on experience in project coordination, documentation, and vendor communication.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
•Assist Project Managers in coordinating the procurement, scheduling, and installation of doors, frames, and hardware.
•Help prepare and review submittals, shop drawings, purchase orders, and change orders.
•Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of materials.
•Track project progress, material lead times, and delivery schedules.
•Organize and maintain accurate project documentation and job files.
•Attend project meetings and site visits; take notes and follow up on action items.
•Assist in reviewing architectural drawings, door schedules, and specifications.
•Support RFIs, ASIs, and document control processes throughout the project lifecycle.
•Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Qualifications:
•1-3 years of experience in construction, project coordination, or the DFH industry preferred.
•Familiarity with Division 8 specifications and DFH product knowledge is a plus.
•Strong communication and organizational skills.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or Comsense is a plus.
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
•Team-oriented, eager to learn, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
