Bus Driver Qualifications: Must be 21 years of age or older Current Georgia or Alabama Commercial Driver's License (Class B) Passenger & Air Brakes Endorsement, School Bus Endorsement (PS) Must pass a background screening suitable for employment Have a DOT physical examination/Pass a drug test Good character Acceptable driving record Reports To:

Transportation Director Job Goal:

To provide for the safe transportation of students Performance Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Demonstrates the ability to work with school age children. Ability to remain both drug and alcohol free in the workplace and be subject to random drug and alcohol testing according to LCSBOE policy. Be regular and punctual in attendance and follow correct procedure for signing in daily and securing substitutes. Maintains appropriate student management and reports student incidents to the appropriate supervisors. Cooperates with the principal, transportation director, and parents to solve discipline problems. Conducts bus evacuation drills in accordance with approved procedures. Keeps assigned bus clean by daily sweeping and periodic washing. Reports all accidents, vehicle damage, and student injuries immediately should they occur. Completes and submits all required reports and documentation in a timely manner. Maintains and implements the established rules and procedures for transportation. Maintains confidentiality of any school system business. Maintains proper and professional relationships with students and other employees. Assumes other transportation related duties assigned by supervisor. Terms of Employment:
