REAL TIME CONSULTING (An RTCo Company)-POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Sr Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

ABOUT THE JOB: Be part of a team develops new or modifies processes, defines process equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of Ring Laser Gyroscopes.

In this position, you will influence the planning and designing of product manufacturing processes. You will determine the equipment and tools needed by the team to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification for both existing and new processes. You will maximize efficiency by analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Support daily production activities and drive producibility improvement projects for our existing products in a dynamic environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide test and manufacturing support for Ring Laser Gyro (RLG) and Tactical Guidance Products (TGP) production. Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability, product health trends and drive yield improvements. Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices. Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitate issue identification and analysis. Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions. Assist development of new products. Support knowledge for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow. Facilitate a self-driven work force culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals. Test products & software

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline, such as Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics 5+ years Product or Process Engineering experience Experience in Manufacturing Products for Regulated Industries (ex. Aerospace, Medical, Automotive) Experience with Optics, Sensors, and/or Electronic Assemblies Product Assembly and Test experience Experience with Product Yield Management and Improvement. Experience with Programming and Troubleshooting Equipment with PLC Controllers Root Cause Corrective Action / Lean / Six Sigma experience Ability to Work in a Cleanroom Environment Ability to Balance Priorities in Daily Tasks and Strategic Projects Possessed a Hands-on Work Ethic; Takes Initiative and Ownership of Responsibilities and Actions Ability to Partner and Collaborate Well with Cross-functional Team Members Ability to Quickly and Accurately Identify Subtle Interrelationships and Patterns Among a Variety of Problems and Issues (Process and Data Correlation of Cause/Effect Across Value Stream) Ability to Convey Information with Clarity and Directness, Ensuring the Message is Understood Across Diverse Teams
