Job Description: This role will involve close collaboration with Technical Services and Operations teams to ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and best practices. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in corrosion mechanisms, monitoring, testing, and mitigation strategies, along with strong communication and analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
Manage and execute internal corrosion control programs across a range of pipeline and processing operations Serve as the subject matter expert, offering guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders Monitor, analyze, and report internal corrosion data; oversee database and data processing systems Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (e.g., DOT 192/195, API, NACE/AMPP) Develop and deliver training, technical presentations, and improvement initiatives Collaborate on audits, safety assessments, and continuous improvement projects Provide risk-based technical recommendations for corrosion mitigation strategies and chemical treatment Support business intelligence and GIS/data visualization tools for corrosion program performance
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred Minimum of 7 years of progressive engineering experience in natural gas or petrochemical industry Extensive knowledge of internal corrosion control methods, regulations, and mitigation techniques Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database management, and GIS applications Strong technical writing and presentation skills Familiarity with specialty chemical applications for wet gas and liquids pipelines
Preferred:
NACE/AMPP Senior Internal Corrosion Technologist certification Professional Engineer (PE) License Project Management experience and corrosion control leadership
