WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR III
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR III Operate and maintain Carpenter's central wastewater treatment plant (WTP), sludge drying and various pre-treatment facilities used to treat and process wastewater and waste by-products from major production departments to meet or exceed all federal and state environmental regulations and permit requirements. Monitors equipment for potential failures and may make minor repairs or adjustments as needed. Collects water samples for chemical analysis. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED FOR THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR III High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent experience as determined by department management. Three or more years of waste treatment experience. Knowledge of waste management operations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, well organized and the ability to prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions. Ability to work in a production-oriented environment. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Willing to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
