Fort HealthCare is a patient-centered hospital and healthcare system serving individuals, businesses and families in Jefferson, Dane, and Walworth Counties. We are seeking an EVS Tech II to join our Environmental Services Team.
Shift: Full time 1st shift 6:00 am - 2:30 pm including occasional weekends 80 hours per bi-weekly pay period

The EVS Tech II position requires a minimum of one year cleaning experience in an office or commercial environment, or six months of cleaning experience in a hospital environment. The EVS Tech II is responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cleaning of one or more of the following critical patient care areas of the hospital: OB, IPS, ED, Ambulatory, OR, and Radiology. While cleaning in these specific areas, the EVS Tech II is responsible for maintaining and promoting a healthy and safe environment within the facility while minimalizing the spread of infection. An EVS Tech II will be required to perform and successfully complete annual competencies in one or more of these critical patient care areas to maintain the Tech II status.
Responsibilities of this position include: Complete daily, isolation, and discharge/transfer cleaning in one or more of the following critical patient care areas: ED, OB, Ambulatory, OR, Radiology, or IPS. Follows Fort Healthcare cleaning procedures when cleaning these areas. Complete terminal cleaning of LDRP, C-Section, OR Suites, Endoscopy Procedure rooms, PACU recovery area, and outpatient rooms following Fort HealthCare cleaning procedures. Complete cleaning and relocating of medical equipment in critical patient care areas following Fort HealthCare cleaning Procedures. Respond to requests for specific cleaning tasks, prioritizing emergency requests. Follow Fort HealthCare guidelines when handling general and medical waste and soiled linen. Collect and transport soiled linen, trash, recycling, and infectious waste from designated areas following Fort HealthCare disposal procedures. Vacuum carpeted corridors, entrances, waiting and lobby areas as scheduled, perform light and deep extraction of carpeted areas as scheduled. Wet/dry mop and machine scrub corridors, entrances, waiting and lobby areas as scheduled. Perform floor finishing procedures including stripping, finishing, and burnishing as scheduled following Fort HealthCare guidelines. Maintains and stocks EVS storeroom as necessary, including putting away freight, stocking supply shelves, cleaning and organizing room. Laundering of mops, rags, and other cleaning supplies for use by staff. Exchange and laundering of cubicle curtains. Laundering of other department items as requested. Maintains working knowledge of and follows safety and infection control standards. Maintains working knowledge of and follows hospital/department Environment of Care Compliance. Assists in the orientation of new employees.
Requirements of this position include: High School Diploma or GED preferred One-year prior cleaning experience or six months as a Fort HealthCare EVS Tech I required Background in cleaning; experience in healthcare setting a plus Cleaning in a healthcare, hospitality, commercial or private environment preferred
