EMC - Eden Medical Center Position Overview:
Responsible for the development of strategic and tactical plans that result in measurable improvement in the organization's delivery of diabetes care and education. Works closely with other operational leaders to ensure that all channels of care have patient experience as the top priority and delivered as such. Identifies opportunities for improvement at the front line as well as any global process change or improvement necessary to achieve a high level of patient satisfaction. Responsible for the development and planning of all educational activities associated with diabetes care and carefully incorporating the preferred behaviors that are required to improve patient experience. Serves as an educator consultant and oversees the education program of patients and their families about diabetes. Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Certification & Licensure:
RN-Registered Nurse of California CDCES-Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Typical Experience:
12 years of recent relevant experience. Skills and Knowledge:
Knowledge of all aspects and options in the care and management of diabetes is required. Ability to manage a team and to develop a collaborative environment. Ensure that educational approaches and curriculum are of the highest standard. Team leadership, development and organizational skills. Job Shift:
