The Bradley Hotel is seeking Servers and Bartenders for our rooftop restaurant, Birdie's and lobby restaurant, Arbor! The Server will contribute to the mission and success of Provenance Hotel Group by creating exceptional ways of personalizing and providing the best guest service in the hospitality industry and ensuring our high standards of service are met. The Server will provide prompt and courteous service to all guests, encouraging the guest to return again which will generate repeat business. The Server is responsible for providing quality guest services that include providing a positive first and last impression and a friendly, upbeat and clean atmosphere to every guest. When servicing guests, the Server is responsible for being professional, friendly, and helpful, using the "Five Hospitality Standards" of eye contact, a smile, speak first, engage in polite conversation, and use the guest's surname. Essential functions include: providing fast, friendly, professional and responsive customer service to restaurant guests, restaurant staff and culinary production team; greeting and making welcome each guest seated in assigned station within 1 minute; serving initial beverage order within 5 minutes of guest being seated; being responsible to sell on a consistent basis, while continuing to create new strategies for increasing the check average of each guest; and responsible to "up sell" on any given opportunity. The Server must also be responsible to generate average food and beverage in accordance to budget, perform opening, running and closing procedures, maintain and ensure the overall cleanliness of assigned station and the establishment, perform accurate cash/credit handling and POS procedures, up sell food and beverage menu items, provide friendly, courteous and professional service to all internal and external customers/guests, at all times, help support staff, retain and maintain complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items, perform all duties and sequences of service in adherence to standards, and fully comply with Provenance hotels rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of the hotel facilities. The Server must have the ability to work a flexible schedule and late hours when necessary, report to work on time and on a regular basis, and invite and welcome guests back upon completion of their visit. The Server must also contribute to hotel goals for increasing sales and improving profits, enthusiastically recommend and promote all hotel functions and facilities, submit all lost and found articles accompanied by a Lost and Found report to Housekeeping, and attend mandatory meetings.
