Electro-Optical Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Electro-Optical Engineer to join our team on-site at our supplier in Orlando, Florida. As an Electro-Optical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of cutting-edge Electro Optical / Infrared (EO/IR) sensor technologies, driving supplier coordination, integration, product innovation, and ensuring successful product delivery. A key focus of this role will be the integration of new EO/IR capabilities onto Lockheed Martin Aeronautics (LM Aero) platforms, requiring close collaboration with our engineering teams and the supplier's leadership and technical teams. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the supplier's technical team to streamline integration and implementation of cutting-edge Electro Optical / Infrared (EO/IR) sensor technologies Act as conduit between LM Aero engineering and program management and the supplier's engineering and program management Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product integration and delivery, including planning, monitoring, and tracking program tasks and schedules Attend program meetings and ensure action items for both LM Aero and the supplier are completed and signed off Provide technical direction and support to supplier technical personnel Ensure compliance with Lockheed Martin's quality and security standards, as well as those of specific Aeronautics' programs Identify opportunities for digital transformation (DT) and facilitate knowledge Occasional travel to Fort Worth, TX and flight test locations to support program needs The selected candidate must have or be able to obtain a final DoD Secret security clearance prior to start of work, must maintain a DoD Secret clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a SAP/SAR clearance.
