Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Our client is an 80+ year old, full service CNC contract manufacturer that specializes in high volume production. They are a third generation, family owned and operated organization supporting a wide range of commercial industries including the military, defense, aerospace, medical, and commercial space. Right now, they work dominantly in the aerospace field, handling defense components, but are quickly adding a large portfolio of products for both commercial and medical applications. Job Description
The role involves working within the new product introduction team, receiving customer designs, performing DFMA and quoting, utilizing your background in CNC machining to create and optimize manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvements using lean manufacturing/5S techniques, creating relevant engineering documentation (BOMs, SOPs, work instructions), and working with customers and cross-functionally with production and quality. CNC experience required, GD&T experience required, degree highly preferred, not required. Five to 10+ years of relevant manufacturing experience. Regulated industry experience preferred (automotive, aerospace, device, defense). Six Sigma/lean manufacturing experience. Experience with new product development and introduction, DFMA. Quoting, costing, customer facing experience preferred. APQP, PPAP, validations experience preferred. Structured problem solving experience (A3, PDCA, 8D, DMAIC). Bilingual a plus (Spanish fluency). SolidWorks and CAD/CAM software experience (Esprit, MasterCAM). Demonstrated communication skills required. What's On Offer
