Site Coordinator

at Hugh B. Bain Middle School in Cranston. In this role, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of the YMCA's After School program, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and enriching experience for all participants. What You'll Do: Lead the planning and implementation of high-quality, engaging programming that supports academic growth and social-emotional learning. Supervise program staff, support professional development, and promote a culture of inclusion, respect, and positive behavior. Track and report on student progress using tools like pre/post tests and SEL assessments. Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and community partners. Manage daily logistics, including program materials, snack service, and safety protocols. What You'll Bring: A passion for youth development, and a strong sense of humor never hurts. Bachelor's degree (or Associate's degree with additional experience) in education, child development, recreation, or a related field. 1-2 years of supervised experience working with school-age youth in group settings. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. The ability to stay calm, kind, and nimble when life throws curveballs (as it often does in middle school). Additional Details: This is a

grant-funded position

through June 30 2026. Continued employment is contingent upon the availability of funding. Must meet all RI DHS licensing requirements for school-age programs. This role may include occasional evening hours for family events or professional development.
