The Sr. Application Engineer is responsible for leveraging their knowledge and expertise to support, install, monitor and enhance application software, within the POS environment including POS Administration and all third party applications required for optimal restaurant operations. This role also collaborates with third party vendors used by Wendy's and coaches employees and vendors on issue resolution. In addition, this role ensures that the investigation and root cause analysis of application software faults are executed properly by team members, and facilitates issue escalation to internal and external subject matter experts as appropriate. Responsibilities Designs and implements systems/services which ensure high system availability and maximizes usage of all Information Technology resources. Develops and utilizes standard processes for systems/service implementation and maintenance, which minimize the impact on customer service and provide adequate backup/recovery capability. Ensures timely delivery of new capabilities. Develops and utilizes processes for monitoring performance of installed systems or services and takes corrective actions when necessary. Generates management reports as required. Contributes to the development of and utilizes processes for problem determination which ensures maximum systems/services availability and enhances the productivity of staff members. Utilizes change management standards and processes which ensures maximum customer service and enhances the productivity of staff members. Provides guidance and assistance to other IT staff members in the usage of systems for which he/she has responsibility. Works with third party vendors to ensure their systems meet SLA agreements. Provides second level support for all systems in his/her area of responsibility. High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. Related experience with a minimum of 4 years' experience in application engineer role. Minimum of 3 years' experience in NCR Aloha Systems including but not limited to CFC, CMC, Pulse, and Insight. Thorough knowledge of information technology functions, processes, operations, configurations, project management methodology, systems testing and design. Strong communication and analytical skills. Thorough knowledge of Windows OS, Windows Command Line, Windows Services, Windows Tasks, Windows Event/Log, Windows Registry, Batch Files, Command Files, Databases, SQL, Web Browsers and Internet Protocols. The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. The target annual bonus for this role is 10% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance. Our square burgers make us different and so do our benefits!
