One Hope United's residential care program provides a range of quality services to adolescents in foster care. Youth entering residential care are traumatized and sometimes in crisis. As a Youth Care Worker in our residential program, you are a part of a team that provides a range of mental health services to our youth.
What you would be doing: You would be the professional staff member who provides supervision for the youth in their residential home You would know the joy of training, modeling, and skill-building for the youth Through individual and group instruction, you would teach the youth skills in daily living, recreational activities, socialization, and independent living. Your efforts with the youth would empower them toward the goals outlined in their Individual Treatment Plans and the OHU Residential Program Plans. You would be trained in the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) approved behavior modification program (receiving a certification!) You will be a vital part of the youth's growth and development. Provides care and treatment to youth that is strength-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered.

The leadership team understands that you are a person first and provides support tailored to your life as much as possible, considering program needs. Built into this program are opportunities for professional growth, resulting in increased responsibility and pay. After five years of work as a Youth Care Worker, you will earn a Mental Health Professional certification from Medicaid and be eligible for a role with increased responsibility and pay. All of this, plus team members gather for a meal in the cafeteria each Wednesday, celebratory spotlights on team members, and the best "swag" (shirts, hoodies) at OHU!
In addition, you will receive Up to 4 weeks of paid vacation days, 6 paid personal days, and 5 paid sick days annually. Tuition assistance up to $2500 per year Medical, dental, vision, 403b retirement, flexible spending accounts, short-term disability options Agency paid life up to $50K based on salary Voluntary Supplemental Life for Employee, Spouse, and Child(ren) Voluntary Legal Plans The agency paid long-term disability after 1 year of employment Retention bonuses throughout the year. 403 B Employer contributions Weekend differential for all youth care positions. (15% on Saturday, 10% on Sunday)
What we will expect of you:
Education
You will need a high school diploma or GED Contract Required Age
You must be 21-years-old according to contract requirements Experience
1-3 years of human services experience preferred
Qualifications Education
Preferred High School Diploma or better in General Studies.
Licenses & Certifications
Required Auto Insurance Drivers License Physical Exam/TB
