Your Impact: As a key member of the C-130 production team at Lockheed Martin, you will help build and maintain one of the most versatile tactical airlifters in the world. Your expertise in aircraft structural assembly will directly contribute to the legacy and reliability of the Hercules aircraft, supporting critical missions across the globe. What You Will Be Doing: Bring blueprints to life
Read and interpret detailed engineering documents to lay out and assemble structural components with precision. Take on complex rework challenges
Realign, replace, and reform key structural elements like ribs, bulkheads, stringers, and fittings to meet exacting standards. Shape critical components
Trim, contour, and fabricate custom parts including brackets, doublers, gussets, and stiffeners to support the aircraft's structure. Master precision tools
Operate milling equipment and portable tools to perform structural work on wing and center section joints with confidence. Execute advanced fit and installation
Align and secure assemblies to exact station, waterline, butt line, and chord line measurements for perfect integration. Lead the final build-out
Resolve shortages, rework assemblies, and incorporate the latest engineering changes to ensure mission-readiness. Support multi-system integration
Install and adjust plumbing, electrical, control, and powerplant systems prior to operational checkout. Conduct mechanical checks
Operate landing gear and related mechanisms to verify clearances and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve
Tackle rework, production squawks, and installation issues head-on, ensuring quality and compliance. Collaborate with engineering
Work directly with liaison teams to identify issues, recommend tooling needs, and improve processes. Deliver precision craftsmanship
Use hand tools, rivet machines, and power equipment to drill, rivet, deburr, and install fasteners to tight tolerances. Think on your feet
Create shop aids and custom solutions to streamline assembly tasks and boost production efficiency.
