Engineer Position
This position resides within the Endoscopy Business Unit, which focuses on cutting-edge electromechanical systems and equipment for minimally invasive surgery. In this fast-paced and highly regulated environment, you'll directly contribute to life-changing medical technology. We are seeking an Engineer with a strong foundation in electromechanical system design and testing. Ideal candidates will have experience in the medical devices, automotive, or similarly regulated industries. This role is part of the Medical Device Engineering (MDE) program, which provides agile engineering support across multiple business needs and initiatives. What You Will Do: Develop and execute solutions to a range of technical challenges of moderate complexity. Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Advanced Operations, and Quality. Design and implement electromechanical test systems for current and next-generation products. Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot and iterate on early product concepts. Support equipment and process development for new product introductions (NPIs) and technology transfers. Lead or contribute to DFM/T, PFMEA, control plans, and PPAP documentation. Conduct root-cause analysis, gauge R&R studies, and statistical analyses (DOE, Cp/Cpk). Perform MSA studies and introduce new manufacturing technologies to improve process capability. Train manufacturing personnel on new equipment and processes. Ensure all work complies with Stryker's Quality System, applicable regulations, and the Stryker Code of Conduct. Prepare and maintain thorough engineering documentation in support of design, development, and manufacturing activities. What You Need: Bachelors in Engineering 0+ years of experience Preferred Skills: Electrical Engineering preferred Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight timelines. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Hands-on experience with schematics, test equipment, and electromechanical systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; experience with process mapping and validation tools preferred. Effective communicator with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
