We are seeking a qualified

Manual Machinist

who is also skilled in welding and jig/fixture building. You'll support prototype construction, small-batch production, and tooling initiatives critical to the company's continued excellence in product performance and durability.

Job Responsibilities: Build and evaluate prototype units and machines to ensure functional accuracy and durability. Design, machine, and assemble custom jigs, fixtures, and tooling to enhance production efficiency and meet quality standards. Operate mills, lathes, drill presses, and manual machines to fabricate precision parts per engineering drawings. Apply MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques for prototype development, fixture repairs, and small-batch fabrications. Interpret engineering drawings with geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) to produce parts that meet tight specifications. Identify and resolve machining, welding, or assembly challenges to optimize prototype performance and streamline production flow. Perform in-process and final inspections using precision gauges and measuring tools to verify compliance. Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment; follow PPE and lockout/tagout requirements to maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications: Proven experience as a machinist, welder, and jig/fixture builder in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Proficiency in manual machining toolsmills, lathes, drill pressesand in MIG, TIG, and stick welding. Strong ability to read blueprints and GD&T symbols and apply technical specifications accurately. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail in prototype or precision fabrication contexts. Experience across diverse manufacturing sectors (automotive, aerospace, industrial) is a plus.
