Job Description: Context of DevOps CoE Team
We are looking for a talented DevOps engineer to join our DevOps CoE team. EcoOS/Technologies and R&D organization is part of Schneider Digital, a major contributor to Schneider's digital strategy. This group is creating new business and technology capabilities to develop Internet of Things-enabled offers and expand Digital Services (Connected and Managed services) to support our customers' efficiency and sustainability challenges. The Infrastructure & Operations team, part of EcoOS / Technologies and R&D, is responsible for Azure Landing Zone, E2E Operations, DevOps foundations, Observability, Infrastructure & Container platforms management across the organization. The DevOps CoE Team is a subset of the Infrastructure & Operations organization, currently composed of 6 DevOps engineers supported by a Scrum Master and a Technical Product Owner located in France and India.
Responsibilities
We expect the DevOps Engineer to contribute to three main areas:
DevOps foundations (Software delivery & Deployment Methodologies & Tools)
Observability Solutions
Container Platform Management
As part of the DevOps product team, the DevOps Engineer will:
Design and implement best practices and blueprints in our main areas
Support Dev Teams in adopting reference implementations through consulting
Maintain the reference implementations over time
Act as L3 support for the E2E operations team
Qualifications:
Expected skills
We cover a broad range of technologies. We do not expect the candidate to manage all of them:
End-to-End Vision: Understanding of the software delivery lifecycle from build to run activities
Cloud: Azure Cloud (Certifications appreciated), AWS (Rosetta Stone acceptable)
CI/CD: Github (Yaml pipelines), Ansible
Observability: Open Telemetry, Dynatrace, Azure Monitor (or equivalent)
Container Platforms: Docker, AKS (K8S), and alternatives (ACA...)
Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or OpenTofu
Deployment & Repositories: GitOps
Scripting: PowerShell, Python, Unix Shell
Operating Systems: Windows & Linux
Collaboration Tools: JIRA, Confluence, Github, SharePoint
Other Skills: Experience with run phases, good communication skills, ability to guide teams, familiarity with non-functional requirements, experience in agile projects (SAFe is a plus), Golang (a plus), proactive and autonomous, international project experience, professional English skills
