About the Role We are seeking a compassionate, patient-centered
Benign Hematologist
to diagnose, treat, and manage non-malignant hematologic disorders. This role is ideal for a physician who is passionate about providing high-quality, evidence-based care and contributing to research and education in a dynamic academic environment. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and manage a wide range of benign hematologic conditions, including anemia, clotting disorders, sickle cell disease, hemophilia, and thrombophilia.
Perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and blood transfusions when clinically indicated.
Develop individualized treatment plans informed by the latest clinical guidelines.
Collaborate across disciplines to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care.
Educate patients and families about their condition, treatment options, and long-term management strategies.
Participate in research initiatives and quality improvement projects.
Contribute to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency
Fellowship training in Hematology or Hematology/Oncology with a focus in benign hematologic disorders
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology
Eligible for a Texas medical license
Prior experience in benign hematology preferred
Compensation and Benefits Highly competitive base salary with productivity incentives
