If you’re passionate about becoming a Nationwide associate and believe you have the potential to be something great, let’s talk. At Nationwide, “on your side” goes beyond just words. Our customers are at the center of everything we do and we’re looking for associates who are passionate about delivering extraordinary care.

As we expand our global HR capabilities, we are seeking a highly experienced Workday Configuration Consultant to support the launch and scaling of our Global Capability Center (GCC) in India. This US-based role will serve as a strategic and operational bridge between our corporate HRIS/Workday teams and the India HR organization, ensuring seamless alignment, knowledge transfer, and system optimization.

This role will own and manage all Workday configuration activities supporting India HR delivery, working closely with the local India team to enhance system usability, drive adoption, and implement localized enhancements. The consultant will also partner with the US-based configuration team to ensure global process alignment, configuration consistency, and adherence to governance standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep configuration expertise across key Workday modules—including Core HCM, Security, Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, Compensation, Talent Acquisition and Talent Management —with a strong understanding of both US and India HR processes and statutory requirements. This includes tailoring configurations to meet India-specific compliance needs while maintaining alignment with global frameworks.

As the Workday Configuration Lead for India, you will drive the timely and accurate delivery of system changes by collaborating closely with the India HR team to understand business needs and deliver scalable, sustainable solutions. You’ll align with US configuration teams to uphold global standards, governance, and change control processes, while serving as a subject matter expert on India-specific localization, compliance, and integrations. Supporting HR Centers of Excellence, you’ll provide configuration solutions that enhance functional excellence and operational efficiency. Additionally, you’ll define and enforce configuration standards, data privacy protocols, and documentation practices.

Success in this role requires a self-starter who thrives in a global, matrixed environment, can manage ambiguity, and influence without authority. Strong technical and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across cultures and time zones are essential to building a high-performing, globally integrated HR technology ecosystem.
