The Senior Application Programmer for Mainframe Systems leads or works on complex IT applications, including design, development, testing, and support. Responsibilities include analyzing requirements, designing systems architecture, coding, debugging, testing, and documentation. Ensures software quality, integrates hardware and software, and evaluates new technologies. Skills Required:
Knowledge in applications software development, systems architecture, data management, and security policies. Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively is essential. Skills Preferred:
Experience with IMS, JCL, CICS, and SPUFI via COBOL and DB2. Experience Required:
Minimum 7 years in systems design and programming, including languages such as COBOL, IMS/DB, DB2, Assembler, SAS, CICS, and related tools and databases. Experience Preferred:
At least 5 years with IMS/DB2/COBOL/CICS/JCL in a mainframe environment. Education Required:
