As a Junior Software Engineer in Application Security, you will collaborate with teams to ensure product security, assist in vulnerability remediation, and promote secure coding practices within the organization. Responsibilities: Ensure applications meet internal security standards and SSDLC (Secure Software Development Lifecycle) best practices. Develop and maintain internal security tooling features. Participate in threat modeling exercises with application development teams. Monitor vulnerability scans (dynamic, static, dependency). Research security findings to validate issues. Support remediation of vulnerabilities. Provide secure coding training and guidance to developers. Research vulnerable third-party libraries and recommend solutions. Monitor evolving security threats and escalate as needed. Stay updated on application security trends and best practices. Promote a culture of secure coding. Create documentation valuable to the team. Participate in code reviews. Mentor and inspire team members to improve security standards. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. 2-3 years of experience with Java or .NET frameworks. Interest in or experience with application security roles. Experience working in Agile environments. Knowledge of secure coding practices. Understanding of OWASP Top 10. Ability to investigate security issues and suggest solutions. Proficiency with security tools. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
