As a Cloud Specialist (AWS), you will serve as a technical operations expert responsible for the design, implementation, and support of cloud-based information technology solutions in current and future state. You will be building, maintaining, and operationalizing infrastructure, security services, and system components in commercial or government cloud providers to deliver highly available and scalable services. The work level is advanced, and staff must work under minimal supervision. This role does not have direct reports. Proactive Problem Solver:
Identify and address root causes of issues, focusing on solving problem categories early and comprehensively. Automation Enthusiast:
Use automation tools such as build and deployment pipelines, Docker, Python, Bash, and Ansible to streamline processes and eliminate recurring issues. Multifaceted Expertise:
Proficient in CI/CD automation, SDLC, Cloud computing (AWS), Python, Bash, and Ansible, demonstrating versatility across technologies. Comprehensive Problem Analysis:
Conduct thorough investigations to understand all facets of a problem for effective solutions. Culture:
Focus on establishing and maintaining a DevOps culture, enabling development teams for success through self-sufficiency. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an IT field or equivalent experience (6+ years for Experienced, 8+ for Senior). Expertise in git and SDLC. Competency in Linux/UNIX systems. Proficiency in coding Terraform. Experience with Cloud Computing, preferably AWS. Experience in automation tools and processes to optimize cloud spending (FinOps). Proficiency in CI/CD workflows, preferably Gitlab. Experience with containerized systems. Knowledge of REST APIs and web services is desirable. Ability to perform code reviews in pipeline code, Docker, Python, and Bash.
