Job Description Who You’ll Work With As part of the Sales Engineering team, you'll collaborate with industry experts and technical leaders, reporting to the Regional Engineering Manager. You'll work alongside skilled field engineers, understanding technology and business impacts, and aligning solutions with client goals. You'll also coordinate with Product Management and Software Development teams to influence product development and strategy, supported by Arista TAC and proof-of-concept resources. What You’ll Do Provide pre-sales technical support in the Los Angeles and Orange County regions. Partner with Account Managers to understand customer challenges and conduct network architectural reviews. Present Arista’s Open Networking Data Center and Cognitive Campus solutions, including Wifi, CloudVision, Security, Endpoint Security, and Fabric Monitoring. Design and propose Data Center & Campus network solutions using leaf-spine architectures (VxLAN, EVPN). Validate customer proof-of-concept setups through hands-on testing. Develop design guidelines and recommend network improvements. Respond to RFP/RFQs in collaboration with the Sales Team. Provide feedback to Product Management and Engineering. Represent Arista at industry events and conferences. Stay informed about competitive solutions and products. Author white papers on technology and products. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred. Network Industry Certifications such as ACE-L4, ACE-L6, ACE-L7 preferred. At least 5+ years of L2/L3 networking experience with Data Center and Campus networks. Expertise in routing and switching, including L2/L3 protocols. Experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar role preferred. Knowledge of network overlays is a plus. Expertise in Ethernet, VLANs, IP Routing, BGP, VxLAN, EVPN, Multicast, Spanning Tree, QoS. Proficiency with industry-standard CLI. Experience with network automation using Python and Ansible is desired. Ability to write white papers is a plus. Local to the area/region. Compensation The salary range is $125,000 to $170,000, depending on skills, experience, and location. Additional benefits include bonuses, equity, and comprehensive health benefits.
