This project involves modernizing aging Tax systems into new technologies, including CARTS and Correspondence.
Responsibilities of the Selected Candidate:
Analyze, support, develop, and reengineer systems; support developers working with COBOL, JCL, SQL, and z/OS facilities and products.
Perform performance analysis, tuning, troubleshooting, capacity planning, and benchmark design.
Develop streamlined processes for z/OS software upgrades and maintenance.
Design methodologies for data synchronization from operational data stores to a data warehouse across multiple database platforms and DBMSs.
Coordinate between z/OS and LUW DB2 application databases, data warehouse, Cognos, Identity Insight, and DataStage.
Act as liaison between Data Management, business customers, and application development teams to ensure performance considerations are integrated into reviews, designs, and implementations.
Create cost-effective and timely solutions for strategic business requirements using database structures, application methodologies, and coding techniques.
Systems Architect Responsibilities:
Define the architecture of computerized systems, including components, interactions, interfaces, and technologies.
Provide guidance to large teams with 84+ months of experience or extensive industry expertise.
Experience with installing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining z/OS DB2 V11 or higher on IBM z/OS mainframes.
Experience with performance tuning, system scalability, documentation, and capacity planning for z/OS DB2 environments.
Proficiency with z/OS DB2 management tools like Omegamon and Detector.
Contract duration: 30 months, with 4 months onsite; remote work negotiable at 40%.
