Description The National WWII Museum is seeking a Theatre and A/V Systems Technician to operate and maintain its multi-sensory theaters, exhibits, and live performance spaces. Reporting to the Director of Theater & AV Systems, the technician oversees show lighting, audio, equipment, and AV systems related to multi-sensory presentations. Responsibilities include initiating presentations according to schedules, ensuring safety, and controlling audio and lighting for performances and events. Responsibilities include: Operate multi-sensory theater equipment during presentations. Perform maintenance and logbook entries. Manage security of AV and lighting systems. Operate show AV and lighting systems manually or via cues. Open and close facilities per SOP and schedules. Prepare inspection reports and logbooks. Ensure readiness of various theaters and pavilions. Handle startup/shutdown of AV systems daily. Assist with livestreaming and operate AV and lighting for events. Perform additional duties as assigned. Collaborate with volunteers and guests daily.
Qualifications: 3-5 years experience with theater technologies. Strong technical background in AV systems, show controls, electronics. Knowledge of large venue video & audio systems. Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks. Flexible schedule including weekends and evenings as needed. Ability to operate hand and power tools, lift up to 75 pounds, and perform physical tasks.
