Secret Position Summary The Systems Administrator III Lead is responsible for managing and optimizing the Navy Maintenance and Modernization Enterprise Solution (NMMES) IT systems. This role leads a team of administrators, oversees full system lifecycle operations, and ensures the reliable performance of legacy and modern platforms supporting global Navy operations. The performance of this position is key to RavenTek's performance on the contract, and therefore RavenTek's mission to support the customer. Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead the configuration, deployment, and operation of information management systems for NMMES. Mentor and guide a team of system administrators in providing daily support and system optimization. Conduct capacity analysis and provide recommendations for system upgrades and changes. Implement automation scripts and tools to increase system administration accuracy and efficiency. Develop and maintain system administration procedures and conduct team training and assessments. Manage and maintain seamless operations across legacy and modern web-based application platforms. Ensure compliance with security requirements across all NMMES systems and platforms. Collaborate with IT teams across disciplines to support the NMMES lifecycle. Champion SAFe Agile practices improving administration workflows and team performance. Drive system improvements while balancing technology modernization with support for legacy systems. Enter actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period. Provide Monthly Status Reports (MSR) to the RavenTek Program Manager by the deadline provided. Monitor RavenTek email on a regular basis, at least 3 times per week, and respond accordingly. Complete required compliance training as assigned. Travel on an as needed basis up to 10%. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Critical Skills Advanced knowledge of system administration principles, tools, and practices. Understanding of SAFe Agile methodology and ability to apply it to systems operations. Familiar with core AWS services (networking, permissions, automation) Possess strong leadership and mentoring abilities for technical teams. Must be able to work with and support both legacy and modern systems. Must have knowledge of DoD/Navy system administration and cybersecurity compliance standards. Must be capable of managing complex system environments across platforms and technologies. Proficiency in managing both legacy platforms and modern applications across OS platforms. Deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices and DoD compliance requirements. Skilled in scripting, automation tools, cloud infrastructure, and virtualization technologies. Education & Work Experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. At least 12 years of experience in system administration or a related technical role within DoD/Navy programs. Proven experience leading technical teams and full system lifecycle operations. Certifications, License CompTIA Security+ CE. SAFe Agilist (SA) certification or higher. AWS certification, desired. Windows or RHEL certification, desired. Advanced SAFe certifications (e.g., SPC, SAFe DevOps Practitioner), desired. Special Requirements Must be able to obtain and maintain required security clearance. Work Environment Employee will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Potential moderate temperature fluctuations. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis. Physical Demands To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, the employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; see to read printed materials and computer screens; mobility to work in a typical office setting. Ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and may be required to provide recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee must be able to lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically up to 20 pounds.
