Position Overview:
As a rapidly expanding global medical device company, we are seeking a visionary
Senior Director
to lead our
Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM)
program and drive the strategic development of our global facilities footprint. This role is instrumental in enabling our international growth, ensuring operational resilience, and maintaining compliance with complex regulatory environments across multiple regions. Responsibilities: Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM): Develop and lead a scalable, global TPRM framework aligned with FDA, EU MDR, ISO 13485, and other international standards. Establish governance structures, policies, and procedures to manage third-party risks across all categories (e.g., suppliers, distributors, service providers). Oversee risk assessments, onboarding, and performance monitoring of global suppliers, contract manufacturers, logistics providers, and service partners. Serve as the primary liaison between Procurement, Legal, Compliance, IT Security, and Business Units on third-party risk matters. Develop and maintain a risk taxonomy and segmentation model for third parties. Implement risk assessment methodologies, due diligence protocols, and ongoing monitoring processes, including contributions to business review practices and assessments of business continuity plans for Tier 1 and sub-tier suppliers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Regulatory, Legal, Procurement, IT Security) to ensure consistent risk governance across all regions. Work with the Procurement Excellence team to implement a global TPRM platform and analytics to support real-time risk visibility and decision-making. Lead global audits and reviews, and remediation efforts related to third-party compliance and performance. Global Facilities Strategy & Expansion: Develop and execute a comprehensive global facilities strategy to support R&D, manufacturing, distribution, and commercial operations in new and existing markets. Lead international site selection, lease negotiations, and capital investment planning, focusing on scalability, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Oversee the design, construction, and build-out of facilities in North America, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM, ensuring compliance with local codes and standards. Build and manage a global network of architects, engineers, contractors, and facility service providers. Establish governance for facility operations, including safety, sustainability, and business continuity across regions. Partner with executive leadership to align infrastructure investments with long-term global growth objectives. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 15+ years of leadership experience in third-party risk management, facilities strategy, or global operations within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry. Deep understanding of global regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, EU MDR, TGA). Proven success in managing complex, multi-country facilities projects and vendor ecosystems. Strong leadership, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Experience with risk management platforms (e.g., Aravo, ProcessUnity) and facilities management systems (e.g., IWMS, CAFM) is a plus. Additional Information: The position will be hybrid from Insulet Corporate Headquarters in Acton, MA. Travel is estimated at 20%, flexible based on business needs. Note:
