About The CNC Programmer Role
Working as a CNC Programmer at Intech will give you the opportunity to write programs for our state of the art CNC machinery that produces complex spinal and orthopedic instruments, that improve the lives of patients around the world!
Job Qualifications For CNC Programmer
5+ years of experience in CNC setup and advanced operation 2+ years of programming experience with CNC equipment required Must be able to read and understand drawings, engineering solid models, and be familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Exhibit proficiency in CNC programming, comprehend G and M code language, and have a working knowledge of Partmaker Programming Software preferred, and Gibbs Cam and Esprit Cam Programming software a plus. Develop, write, and maintain CNC machine programs to perform various machining processes. Able to select appropriate tools and machines to be used in preparation of machining work. Ability to setup and operator CNC machines to prove out programs and processes and make program adjustments as required Able to read and understand blueprints, drawings, engineering models, materials, specifications, and other information and interpret geometric dimensions & tolerances (GD&T) in order to determine machining methods and sequences of operations required. Make proper cutting tool selections, taking into consideration factors such as material, speeds, tyles of cutters, feeds, and control system limitations. Ability to optimize programs and processes to maximize productivity, safety, quality and to eliminate scrap. Ability to revise existing programs and documentation to reflect revision changes when required. Responsible for the storage and organization of all programs and information, including revision controls in controlled files. Able to support all operators on all shifts. Ability to develop setup sheets with detailed information; maintain the file and change control over these documents. Work with quoting engineer for future work and support input on fixturing for parts. Have good working relationships with all shifts and levels of the organization. Ability to problem solve machining issues using root cause analysis and offer solutions to resolve the problems. Ability to perform part inspection and measure dimensions of in process and finished parts to ensure conformance to print specifications, using precision measuring instruments, optical comparator, vision systems, and able to read and interpret CMM reports. Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously.
Work Schedule
Mon- Thurs 4:30am - 3:00pm
