Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or Physics ; be a self-starter and have a can-do attitude; and have excellent academic credentials.The person in this position is preferably already licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.This is a full-time, exempt position located in our Houston office. Associate, Patent Agent or Technical Advisor with a background in
Electrical Engineering,
with specific experience in power delivery into processing systems, or similar device experience. Associate, Patent Agent or Technical Advisor with a background in
Materials Science or Physics , with specific experience in semiconductor processing and/or ceramics. As a full-service intellectual property law firm, Patterson + Sheridan offers the opportunity for technical advisors, patent agents, and attorneys to develop their skills in patent preparation and prosecution and provide quality service to a spectrum of innovative clients producing cutting-edge technologies. The ideal team member prioritizes attention to detail and enjoys utilizing their skills as an avid learner, researcher, and writer to provide strategic support to clients, establishing and defending their innovations. Given the ever-evolving technologies, team members must possess a passion for continued learning and demonstrated ability to go above and beyond in their work for clients to partner in growing the firm.
