Supervises staff, including hiring, coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals. Tracks and analyzes productivity and quality outcomes and addresses opportunities for improvement utilizing process improvement strategies. Collaborates with Director, staff and interdisciplinary team to standardize, update and/or maintain policies and procedures to ensure consistent compliance. Promotes compliance with internal standards and regulatory and accreditation requirements. 24-hour responsibility and accountability for unit and programs supervised. Participates in the annual operational planning process. Executes priorities to ensure implementation of operation plan within the work unit or units. Promotes staff accountability and empowerment through formal and informal processes. Accountable for appropriate consistent staffing and scheduling. Serves as a role model for collaboration and collegiality on interdisciplinary teams. Promotes excellence in customer service. Job Description:

Education:

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing - Required Bachelor's Degree Nursing - Required

Experience:

2 years Nursing - Leadership as a Charge Nurse, Supervisor or Manager - Required 1 year Nursing - Specialty Area - Required

Certifications/Licensures:

RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing - Required BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training- Required within 30-days of hire and renewal annually or within 30-days of return from a leave of absence. Specialty Certifications - ANCC American Nurses Credentialing Center Required within 2 years of hire and Must be included in the list of allowed certifications by ANCC for Magnet demographics > https://www.nursingworld.org/organizational-programs/magnet/program-tools/accepted-certifications/ Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training – John Muir Health – Required within 30 days of hire and every 12 months (or within 30 days of return from leave of absence)

Pay Range:

$185,082.00 - $277,623.00

Salary

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.

Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.

Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.
