Job Description:
Kafka Infrastructure Engineer / Administrator This role involves L3 production support, engineering, user onboarding to Kafka, analyzing and identifying existing production issues, and recommending appropriate solutions. Key Responsibilities:
Subject matter expertise in Confluent Kafka and hands-on administrative experience Installing, administering, supporting, and maintaining Confluent Platform components including Apache Kafka and related tools Experience with Event-Driven Architecture components such as Apache Kafka, Kafka Brokers, Zookeeper, etc. Proficiency in scripting technologies like Shell or Python for automation Implementing and utilizing monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics, JMX to ensure system health and performance Identifying problem causes, business impacts, and root causes Documenting requirements for complex, high-impact application enhancements and problem resolutions Identifying risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues; communicating impacts and proposing mitigation strategies Using ticketing tools like JIRA and ServiceNow for issue tracking and collaboration Planning and executing middleware integrations to Kafka with minimal disruption and optimal performance Knowledge / Experience:
Strong administrative, L3, and engineering experience managing large-scale, multi-region Kafka clusters About us: We are committed to our mission and values!
