This is a non-represented position (no union affiliation) and is subject to the provisions of the Personnel Rules of the Municipality of Anchorage.

: Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

LOCATION:

632 West 6th Avenue Suite 605 ** Starting pay does not exceed the midpoint of the displayed pay range ** To be considered for employment, applicants must be legally authorized to work and accept employment in the United States. The Municipality of Anchorage is not able to provide any type of sponsorship, including Student Visas and Employment Visas, under any circumstances. Responsible for all the employee data in the ERP system and Personnel Files. Ensures probation and step increases are entered timely and accurately in accordance with the appropriate CBA and Personnel Rules. Responsible for setting code tables and updating salary schedules. Provide reports/queries to Managers/Directors regarding probation and annual review dates, end dates for seasonal and temporary employees and grade/salary. Provide unions with active employee union reports. Run various ad-hoc reports for ER management. Maintain the data integrity of the ERP system. Re-configure the ERP system based on Collective Bargaining Agreement and Personnel Rule changes. Respond to Vocational Eligibility requests. Approve and track Employment of Relatives forms. Validate Employment forms for accuracy and compliance with personnel rules and collective bargaining units. (including hire, rehire, promotion, demotion, transfer). Improve the accuracy of the information in the ERP system and reporting through troubleshooting and developing new processes. Provides leadership and direction to Records staff. Work with Labor on researching and gather information for grievances. Other related duties as assigned. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field

years of professional human resources experience, one

of which must have been in the appropriate specialization. Substitution: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

and

any combination of post-secondary education or progressively responsible experience in human resources or a related field may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis. If selected for hire, the appointment in this position will be conditional based upon a satisfactory Municipal Employment Office conducted background check. A background check encompasses criminal history, verifying education, and verifying dates of employment.

Military Service Interview Preference

:

Veterans or who wish to be considered for interview preference as permitted in Municipal Personnel Rules 3.30.031 D must attach to the application a copy of their DD Form 214, DD Form 256, NGB Form 22, or a letter from the US Department of Veterans Affairs recognizing the person as a veteran. The attached documentation must show an honorable discharge or general (under honorable conditions) discharge. The minimum qualifications of the position must be met for preference consideration.

Individuals currently serving as a member in good standing in the National Guard or the organized military reserves who wish to be considered for interview preference as permitted in Municipal Personnel Rules 3.30.031 D must attach proof of current service to the application. Proof of current service can be shown by submission of a statement of service which, at a minimum, shows full name, date of birth, Social Security Number, date service began, branch of service, rank, name of command providing the information, and unit of assignment. The statement of service must be on a form or letterhead of the individual’s command organization and show the name, signature, title and contact information for the signer providing the statement of service. The minimum qualifications of the position must be met for preference consideration.
