Sr Interior Designer

As our next Sr. Interior Designer, you’ll play a key role leading highly visible and complex projects while maintaining client relationships, deadlines, schedules, and coordination with the team. Outside of design you will get the opportunity to mentor, develop and lead less experienced designers using your passion to influence and develop. What You’ll Do: Analyze, plan, design, document and manage interior related projects with a thorough understanding of building design Develop program and space planning during Schematic and Design Development delivering presentations (virtual and physical) including, but not limited to, renderings and video walkthroughs Collaborate on the design process including kickoff and programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation, construction administration and furnishings selections and purchases. Lead and participate in client meetings to develop and maintain relationships and ensure project success. Engage and foster the growth of CPL team members. Provide encouragement and regular feedback; and serve as a mentor/example for all levels of the team. What You Bring to the Table Must Haves: You will have earned a BS in Interior Design – or a related field – from an accredited institution. You have at least six (6) years of industry experience in the Community and Culture sector with experience leading projects like parks and recreation, government buildings, libraries, zoos and museums. NCIDQ certification. Proven ability to build new and maintain existing client relationships. Proficient at Revit, rendering, and presentations. Strong verbal and written communication/presentation skills. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employees already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law.
