At the heart of our ecosystem is a proprietary AI designed to help users achieve a more integrated and fulfilling life. Position Overview: The Architect of our Intelligence This is a mission-critical, strategic role for an experienced AI/ML Developer who is ready to build IDIA's proprietary AI stack from the ground up. The primary mandate of this position is to lead the development of IDIA's in-house artificial intelligence capabilities with the explicit long-term goal of achieving model sovereignty, eventually replacing all external dependencies on third-party APIs like OpenAI and Gemini. This is not a role for an AI practitioner; it is for an AI architect. You will not simply be using tools—you will be building the core intelligence that defines our platform, differentiates our products, and secures our ecosystem. You will have the unique opportunity to work with a rich, multi-modal dataset combining financial transactions, social interactions, and user-consented psychometric and wellness data to build truly integrative models. Key Responsibilities: Proprietary Model Development: Lead the selection of open-source foundation models (e.g., Llama, Mistral) and architect the development of two primary classes of models to replace our current hybrid architecture: A Conversational Engine , fine-tuned to embody the empathetic and supportive "Friend" persona. A Large-Context Analytical & Reasoning Engine , capable of deep, cross-domain reasoning over a user's entire data ecosystem. Data Pipeline & Curation: Design, build, and maintain the ETL pipelines required to extract and process data from our production Supabase (PostgreSQL) database into a dedicated data warehouse suitable for ML training. You will be responsible for creating the anonymization services and curating the high-quality, specialized datasets needed for instruction-tuning and preference-tuning (DPO/RLHF). Fine-Tuning & Alignment: Spearhead the fine-tuning of foundation models using techniques like LoRA, QLoRA, and full fine-tuning. You will be responsible for aligning model outputs with our strict ethical framework and the "Friend" AI's core philosophy of unconditional positive regard. MLOps & Deployment: Own the entire MLOps lifecycle. Deploy, optimize, and maintain all in-house models for high-throughput, low-latency inference using modern serving frameworks (e.g., vLLM, TGI). Implement quantization and other optimization techniques to ensure cost-effective performance. Specialized Agent Implementation: Re-implement the eight specialized agents of our "Crazy Friend" security protocol using smaller, task-specific, fine-tuned models for anomaly detection, predictive analytics, threat hunting, and SOAR orchestration. Strategy & Mentorship: Serve as the subject matter expert for all things AI/ML within the company. Develop and maintain a rigorous framework for model evaluation and benchmarking. Mentor junior engineers and guide the company's long-term AI strategy. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of professional experience in machine learning and AI development. Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Demonstrable, hands-on experience fine-tuning open-source Large Language Models (LLMs) on custom datasets. Expert proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. Proven experience building and managing data pipelines for ML training. Experience deploying and scaling machine learning models in a production environment (MLOps). A deep understanding of LLM architecture, attention mechanisms, and modern training techniques. Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in a relevant field. Publications in top-tier AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL). Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and vector databases (e.g., pgvector). Experience with multi-modal models that can process both text and structured numerical data. Familiarity with our core technology stack: Supabase, PostgreSQL, and Deno/TypeScript for Edge Functions. A genuine interest in the intersection of FinTech, cryptocurrency, and psychology. Compensation: Initial Compensation: This is an equity-only compensation role until our $10,000,000 seed funding round is successfully closed. Equity:

0.75% - 1.5% of company equity (vesting over 4 years with a 1-year cliff). This significant equity stake reflects your foundational contribution to the company's success. Post-Funding: Upon successful closing of our $10,000,000 seed round, this role will transition to a highly competitive market-rate cash salary (estimated $140,000 - $210,000 annually) plus comprehensive benefits, in addition to your vested equity.
