Jobright.ai Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a leading cloud platform that provides innovative solutions for businesses. They are seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their Data Insights team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure for analytics and data-driven decision-making. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders and the opportunity to influence the development of modern contact center solutions. Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable data pipelines and workflows on AWS services (e.g. AWS Glue, Lambda, Step functions, Firehose). • Build and manage data stores using a broad range of technologies including but not limited to Amazon S3, DynamoDB, OpenSearch and related AWS storage services. • Setup and maintain real-time and batch data processing pipelines with Kinesis, Firehose and related analytics services. • Data Modeling and Architecture • Develop optimized, scalable data models tailored for analytics and reporting use cases. • Architect and implement best practices for a robust data infrastructure. • Ensure data integrity, governance, and security compliance across systems. • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement • Partner with data scientists, product managers, partner teams’ engineers to understand requirements and deliver data solutions that drive actionable insights. • Integrate with Connect and AWS-based analytics solutions (e.g. Connect Analytics, Connect Data Lake, Quicksight) • Advocate for self-service data platforms and democratize data access across teams. • Leadership and Mentorship • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and team members • Drive code reviews, establish best practices, coding and design standards and foster a culture of continuous improvement • Emerging Technologies and AWS expertise • Stay informed about the latest AWS services and evaluate their relevance to enhance the data ecosystem • Lead the adoption of new AWS analytics and machine learning tools Qualifications: Required: • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience • Experience programming with at least one software programming language Preferred: • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Company: Launched in 2006, Amazon Web Services (AWS) began exposing key infrastructure services to businesses in the form of web services -- now widely known as cloud computing.
