This role is categorized as hybrid. The successful candidate is expected to report to Milford three times per week, at minimum. The Role:
The Datafile Release Specialist supports Vehicle Motion Embedded Controls (VMEC) Engineers and Calibrators. Responsibilities include releasing controller software and calibration data files for vehicle assembly plants and service organizations using tools such as ECR, GPDS, SPR, VCAM, RTC, and CalPortal. Creation of eBOMs for manufacturing controllers and updating change tracking parts lists are also key duties. The position involves creativity, perception, and independent judgment, with some training responsibilities. What You’ll do: Support Data File Releases during development and production phases. Create controller archive files for testing and support pre-production builds. Assist in planning, developing, and maintaining release programs and procedures. Coordinate with CRT team to resolve plant issues. Recommend solutions to complex problems. Support T2R requirements and collaborate with SW VSEs on tickets. Work with client and Windows applications in the release process. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience. Minimum 2+ years in specifications or datafile engineering releasing. Excellent communication skills. Strong analytical skills for complex problems. Attention to detail and precision. Ability to work locally and globally, with flexible hours. Ability to handle ambiguity and limited data. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new applications. Preferred Skills: Master’s Degree or relevant experience. 5+ years in specifications or datafile engineering releasing. Experience with automotive release systems and material build processes. Knowledge of data file release applications and mainframe systems. Benefits:
