State of GA Data Network Engineer Location: Atlanta, GA Hybrid Need local candidates to GA only. Under general supervision, combines strong technical skills with knowledge of database administration. Works on high complexity projects. Minisoft Technologies LLC is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Data Engineer to support our data modernization efforts, including migration from legacy systems and development of scalable, secure data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure platforms. Responsibilities include data infrastructure design, data modeling, pipeline development, and visualization to enable data-driven decisions enterprise-wide. Experience Required: 5+ years Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks. Implement medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) to support data lifecycle and quality. Support decommissioning of legacy SQL infrastructure and SSRS, ensuring data continuity. Create notebooks (Fabric, Databricks) for data transformation using Python, SQL, Spark. Build datasets and analytics models for Power BI dashboards and reports. Develop dimensional and real-time data models for analytics. Collaborate with analysts, stewards, and stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose data assets. Apply data governance policies including security, masking, and classification (Microsoft Purview, Unity Catalog). Ensure monitoring, logging, and CI/CD automation using Azure DevOps. Support data migration and cutover events with minimal disruption. Technical Stack:

Microsoft Fabric Azure Databricks SQL Server / Managed Instances Power BI (semantic models, datasets) SSRS (legacy support) Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related. 5+ years in data engineering, preferably in government/regulated environments. Proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark. Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric (Dataflows, Pipelines, Notebooks, OneLake). Experience with Power BI data modeling and dashboards. Familiarity with data governance tools (Microsoft Purview, Unity Catalog). Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, data warehousing, schema design. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications like Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer or Azure Data Engineer. Experience with CI/CD automation (Azure DevOps). Knowledge of data security and compliance standards (FIPS 199, NIST). Experience with legacy systems sunset and modernization (SSRS). Soft Skills:
