About the Position: Our client, a sophisticated international law firm, has an active need for a commercial litigator to join its Chicago office as a junior or mid-level associate. This firm has recently been ranked as a Litigation Leader in Complex Commercial Litigation and in Commercial Litigation in BTI’s Litigation Outlook 2025. Attorneys in this practice handle cases involving products liability, commercial real estate and loan disputes, RICO, financial services, construction defect and delay, transportation, medical malpractice, breach of contract, fraud, and trust and estate disputes. Highlights: · Recognized in Crain’s Chicago Business “Best Places to Work” list · Ranked by Chambers as a top law firm for Associate Satisfaction and Career Development · Named in the BTI Client Service 30 for outstanding commitment to client service · Attorneys and staff at the firm donate thousands of hours of pro bono service annually Responsibilities: · Represent small and large businesses, general contractors, subcontractors, and owners in contractual disputes and mechanics lien actions · Handle construction law in state and federal courts and before arbitration tribunals Required Qualifications: · 2-6 or more years of commercial litigation experience · Background/knowledge with construction litigation a plus · Excellent research and writing skills · Strong academic credentials Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid) Compensation: The anticipated base salary for this position is $225,000 – $335,000.
