This position is essential to the success of our retail stores. Customer Service Specialists work closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the right solutions. They are expected to promptly resolve customer concerns, ensure maximum client satisfaction, stay up-to-date with product features, and maintain high quality and visual standards of the products and store. Customer Service Specialists aim to provide excellent customer service while meeting the store’s sales goals.
Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash, payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other items of value. Access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company reviews criminal history to protect its operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, vendors, contractors, and the public.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old
Legally authorized to work in the country without sponsorship now or in the future
Ability to retrieve materials from shelves and floor stacks and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation
Willing to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
High School diploma or GED
At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service
Experience selling paint and related products
Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
Ability to communicate in more than one language, including Spanish

Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
Assist customers in person and over the phone by identifying needs and presenting products and services
Build trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers
Process sales transactions accurately according to policies
Achieve sales goals regularly
Maintain accurate work order files and formulas
Pull products from the sales floor or warehouse
Tint and mix products to customer specifications
Stock shelves and set up displays
Clean store equipment
Load and unload delivery trucks
Assist with deliveries as needed
Maintain in-stock and presentable areas
Stay knowledgeable about products and discuss options with customers
Follow inventory control procedures
Suggest ways to improve sales
