San Francisco and New York positions offer up to $150K. Overview: Our client is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer with expertise in F5 to join their team. The role involves designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network hardware and software, focusing on LAN/WAN environments and security protocols. Key Responsibilities: Design, configure, test, and maintain LAN/WAN equipment and related services. Diagnose and resolve complex network issues. Select and implement network devices and policies aligned with security guidelines. Create comprehensive documentation for network configurations. Support and maintain the company's LAN/WAN and Web Hosting Services. Manage firewalls, including rule changes and review board participation. Participate in 24x7 on-call support and escalation procedures. Obtain and maintain relevant certifications. Act as SME for network and security protocols and policies. Ensure compliance with security policies to maintain data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Specialized Functions for Load Balancing / F5 Engineers: Create and troubleshoot iRules within F5 appliances. Debug services and troubleshoot issues using F5 tools. Configure and manage F5 systems using TMSH and BASH. Plan and execute firmware upgrades in AWS Cloud and on-premises environments. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience. At least 7 years of relevant work experience. Hands-on experience with network devices, policies, and rights management. Advanced knowledge of load balancers (F5), firewalls, Cisco devices, Linux/Windows servers, and telecom services. Strong understanding of network monitoring, security utilities, data center technologies, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP). Deep understanding of OSI model, Ethernet, TCP/IP networking. Basic virtualization knowledge, familiar with ESX and vSwitch. Experience with TCP/IP services (DNS, DHCP, HTTP, HTTPS, SFTP, SSH, SSL, SMTP). Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to prioritize and multitask. Willingness to learn new technologies and industry standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additional Qualifications for Load Balancing / F5 Engineers: Expertise in F5 processes, including APM, ASM, iRules, and LTM modules. Experience with BigIQ, AS3, MTLS, and certificate management on F5. Proficiency with Ansible Automation Platform and Git. Hands-on experience with TMSH and Bash scripting on F5. Experience analyzing TCP events with TCPDump and Wireshark. Certifications: Current industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP preferred. Additional training in BigIQ, AWS Cloud, CFT, DO, and Ansible deployments is advantageous. Note:
