Our group, the Joint Defense Support Group within SPA’s Sea Land Air (SLA) Division, supports the Surface Community and the U.S. Navy by providing program management, requirements management, force development, and readiness support in Washington DC and Fleet areas. We deliver strategic assessments, planning, and operational support to maritime communities and allied navies, playing key roles in national security challenges. SPA is seeking to fill several full-time Program Manager (PM) positions. The PM supports activities related to acquisition, modernization, and lifecycle management of Surface Combatants and embedded systems, including support for ship construction, overhaul, modernization, and technology programs. The PM will develop, validate, and maintain schedules using Microsoft Project, perform critical path and scenario analyses, and advise managers on schedule risks and corrective actions. The role includes providing metrics for progress, recommending schedule revisions, and offering training on Microsoft Project. Business planning responsibilities include establishing and updating Core Equity, analyzing workloads, and supporting funding strategies. The salary range for this position is DC Pay Transparency Salary Range: $190,000 - $200,000. Qualifications: 10 years acquisition experience, including four years in complex programs Navy shipbuilding experience and knowledge Bachelor’s Degree Secret Clearance Knowledge of DoD/Navy ACAT I Programs and DoD 5000.02 Series Strong communication skills Desired: Former Major Navy Program Manager Analysis experience Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification Additional Details: Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job functions: Project Management, IT Industries: Defense, Aerospace, Armed Forces This job posting is active.
