Description We are seeking an experienced Corporate Controller who will be responsible for overseeing NSD’s core accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Corporate Accounting. This individual will lead the day-to-day accounting functions, ensure timely and accurate transaction processing, maintain internal controls, and drive efficiency and process improvements. The Corporate Controller will work cross-functionally with departments across the company and will play a key role in system enhancements, accounting team development, and general financial operations. Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Corporate Accounting teams. Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of accounting tasks. Supervise account reconciliations and review journal entries to ensure proper coding and completeness. Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies. Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, supporting their development and performance. Ensure accurate billing, collections, vendor payments, and general ledger maintenance. Implement and enhance accounting systems and processes to support business growth and automation. Collaborate with other departments to support operational accounting needs and initiatives. Prepare complex account reconciliations Responsible for overseeing the application of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards, including the review of customer contracts, assessment of performance obligations, and coordination with the revenue team to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting. Ensure proper accounting for business combinations in accordance with ASC 805, including purchase price allocation, identification and valuation of acquired assets and liabilities, and coordination with external valuation specialists. Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 Assist with annual external audits Participate in cross-functional projects related to systems integrations, software implementations, and process optimization. Manages the setup and ongoing optimization of the NetSuite ERP system, including maintenance of account segments, chart of accounts structure, and configuration to support efficient financial operations and reporting. Participates in the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasts by collaborating with department leaders to develop financial projections and analyze variances to support informed decision-making. Ad Hoc and other analysis as assigned. Requirements: Understanding and application of Accounting Principles (GAAP Accounting, Revenue Recognition, Tax) Leadership experience in managing AR, AP, and GL functions Multi-subsidiary consolidations Proven ability to design and improve accounting processes and workflows Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) Effective communicator and cross-functional collaborator Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Minimum 5 years of experience in a progressively responsible accounting role. Experience managing teams and month-end close processes. Strong background in operational accounting.
