$70.00/hr - $75.00/hr Direct message the job poster from Sharp Decisions We are seeking an experienced DataHub Deployment & Metadata Architect to lead the architecture, deployment, and customization of DataHub across our enterprise ecosystem. This role involves designing ingestion pipelines, integrating DataHub with multiple data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Power BI, Airflow), and extending metadata models to support data governance, lineage, and discovery. The ideal candidate will drive metadata lifecycle best practices, collaborate with governance and security teams, and oversee architecture standards, vendor relationships, and team guidance. Key Responsibilities: Architect and customize DataHub deployment, including storage, ingestion, and UI/UX extensions. Build ingestion pipelines using Kafka, REST APIs, Python to connect with data warehouses, BI tools, and APIs. Extend metadata models and implement lineage tracking for structured and unstructured data. Collaborate with governance teams to ensure metadata harvesting, classification, and audit compliance. Lead teams through delivery lifecycle, reviewing technical designs and ensuring quality. Partner with integration architects to align DataHub within broader IT ecosystems. Monitor success metrics for catalog adoption and data quality. Manage vendor partnerships and establish governance frameworks. Prepare reports on architectural progress and challenges. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field. 8+ years in data engineering, architecture, or metadata management. 3+ years hands-on with DataHub implementation and customization. Strong skills in Kafka, REST APIs, Python, SQL, JSON, and modern data stacks (Snowflake, Airflow, Git). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containerization, CI/CD, and DevOps. Knowledge of metadata standards, lineage frameworks, and data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA). Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
