Interim Privacy Counsel

This role will focus on global privacy matters, with a strong emphasis on GDPR compliance, and will involve product counseling across key areas such as AI advertising, product development, and research team support. The position will begin on a part-time basis (minimum 20 hours per week), with the potential to increase hours over time based on need. Company: Private Digital Advertising & Marketing Company Experience: Over five (5+) years of experience supporting the development and execution of legal strategies focused on global privacy matters, with a strong emphasis on GDPR compliance and product counseling across key areas such as AI advertising, product development, and research team support. Location: Hybrid Responsibilities Include: Advise on global privacy compliance, with a focus on GDPR and related international regulations. Provide product counseling for teams working on AI-driven advertising platforms, product development, and research initiatives. Collaborate with internal stakeholders including engineering, marketing, and research to ensure privacy-by-design principles are embedded in product workflows. Draft and review privacy notices, data processing agreements, and other related documentation. Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on business operations. Support the development of internal privacy frameworks and playbooks for issue-spotting and risk mitigation. Qualifications Include: J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership. Minimum 5 years of experience in privacy law, preferably in a tech or product-focused environment. Demonstrated experience with GDPR and other global privacy regimes. Strong understanding of AI technologies, digital advertising, and data governance. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
