Basic Qualifications: 20+ years of experience running numerical weather models and large-scale weather- related computing projects Experience with the NOAA Unified Forecast System Experience analyzing meteorological datasets Knowledge of machine learning and applications of machine learning to weather systems modeling Ability to improve earth systems prediction using model-based approaches Ability to participate in client site visits and stakeholder meetings Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements Doctorate degree in Meteorology or Earth Sciences Additional Qualifications: Experience with federal government consult ing Experience managing federal government contract s or grant funding Ability to manage multiple assignments in a multi-disciplinary project team environment Ability to solve complex client problems and prioritize and manage work across multiple work efforts or clients independently Possession of excellent leadership and analytical skills Vetting: Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client . Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
