.In addition torepresentingIndianaand the Midwest, this positionmust also be versed innational and globalTNCpriorities. This positionwill be a key leader in a global fundraising campaign andisresponsibleforproducing measurable conservationresults,while leading a large, multidisciplinary team of professionals across the state.Theyserve as the primary spokesperson for TNCin Indianato internal and external audiences (includingpublic and private donors,media,thebusiness community,theIndianaBoard of Trustees, community leaders and other partners,governmentagencies and officialsand staff). They mustcultivatethose audiences to support and promote TNC’s mission and vision. TheIndianaExecutive Directorand Midwest Partnersetsobjectivesand manages the performance of a largeandcollaborativeteamwith a focus onstrategy development,fundraisingand managing theBoardof Trustees.Theywork togetheracross teams as theycultivateandsolicithigh-leveldonors (privateandpublic) to meet fundraising goals.Additionally, this role supportsconservationprograms andinitiatives, organizationvisibility,policy and government relations, the management of staff andthefinancial health of the business unit. The IndianaExecutiveDirector and Midwest Partneralso collaborates withpeerMidwest Executive Directorsand the Midwest Division Director(known astheMidwestBoard ofPartners)inhelping shape the strategy,developmentand execution ofcross-boundary efforts within theMidwestand globally, including thecontribution of financialand/or human resources.Along with otherMidwestBoard ofPartners, theIndianaExecutive Directorsupportsthe

, andsponsorsone or more conservation strategyand functional areateams atthe regional level.Theyhelpaligntheir team’s worktosecure and deploysufficientresourcesandcapacityto achieve the Midwest’s maximum contribution to TNC’s 2030 conservation goals. They must be very high-energy, intelligent, abstract thinkers willing to take bold, calculated riskswhile balancing the need tomake transparent decisions in amatrixedandsometimesambiguous environment. Theymusthaveveryhighemotional intelligenceandbecompassionate but also able to make tough decisions while beingequitable,fairand inclusive. What You’ll Bring: Bachelor’s degree andaminimum ofsevenyears of experience as a leader in the conservation arena, nonprofit sector,advocacyor related for-profit area.

Extensive management experience,includingtheability to motivate, lead, setobjectivesand manage the performance of a large multidisciplinary team.

Proven experience incultivating andsolicitinghigh-level donors to reach fundraising goals,which is a priority for this position.

Written and verbal fluency in English.

Effective presentation and communication skills fordiverse audiences,includinghigh-leveldonors,the media,thebusiness community,board members, outside partners,staffor equivalentthat lead to desired outcomes.

Experience with strategicfiscal management,including long-term sustainability.

Desired Qualifications: Seven to 10 years of experience as a proven leader in the conservation arena, nonprofit sector, advocacy, or related for-profit area, including demonstrated experience producing results and meeting organizational, divisional or business unit goals.

Experience working in the U.S. and globallypreferred.Demonstrated commitment to developing and practicing global literacy.

Outstandingleadershipskills,includingthought-leadership,visionary qualities andthe abilitytoinspireothers in a decentralized,geographically dispersedand highly matrixedorganization.

Knowledge of conservation and conservation practices.

High energy,forward-thinking andcreative individual with high ethical standards.

Provenstrategicthinkingskills,creativeproblem-solving,adeptdecision-making,adaptabilityandabilityto collaborate and influence.

Demonstratedexperience inpublic speaking on behalf of aglobal organizationwith the capability to present on a wide range ofscience-based and conservationtopicsdesired.

A strong network of local,regionaland national contacts that include leaders from philanthropic, business and communities relevant to our conservation work.

Salary Information: The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of$170,000-210,000.This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges.
