Azure Enterprise Integration Architect
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Integration Architect to design, implement, and oversee enterprise-level IT and integration strategies across a diverse technology landscape. This position is responsible for creating scalable and secure integration architectures that connect systems, data flows, and applications across the organization. The successful candidate will bring expertise in cloud-based services, integration platforms, and cross-functional collaboration to align technical solutions with business priorities.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring advanced knowledge of integration tools, API design, event-driven architectures, and modern cloud technologies. Ideal candidates have experience building and evolving high-performance, standards-compliant integration ecosystems while collaborating with data, enterprise, and application teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement enterprise-wide IT and integration architecture strategies that support organizational goals. Translate complex business requirements into scalable and secure integration designs. Lead the implementation of APIs, cloud-native services, and integration layers using modern platforms and patterns. Collaborate with technical and business teams to align architectural designs with operational needs. Define best practices for system interoperability, real-time messaging, data orchestration, and service reliability. Design integration patterns using microservices, SOA, event-based messaging, and publish/subscribe models. Work across application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to support deployment pipelines and environment management. Establish architectural standards, governance models, and documentation to ensure consistency and compliance. Continuously assess emerging technologies and make recommendations to improve scalability, maintainability, and performance. Mentor development and support teams on integration tools, architectural design, and troubleshooting best practices.
Required Skills
Deep understanding of cloud integration platforms (e.g., Azure Integration Services, AWS, Google Cloud Platform). Proficiency in containerization, orchestration, and microservices (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with enterprise security frameworks, regulatory compliance, and secure design patterns. Strong experience with CI/CD, DevOps tools, and Agile/Scrum environments. Knowledge of data movement technologies, data lakes, and real-time analytics pipelines. Hands-on expertise with modern integration tooling and APIs. Excellent analytical thinking, stakeholder management, and verbal/written communication. Proven leadership in driving architecture decisions and aligning teams around technical vision.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AI/ML and intelligent automation tools. Familiarity with integration platforms like MuleSoft or hybrid integration architectures. Experience supporting hybrid on-prem/cloud environments and migration strategies. Background in regulated industries or large-scale enterprise IT environments. Azure certifications or equivalent cloud credentials are a plus. TOGAF or enterprise architecture framework knowledge preferred.
Education and Experience
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline. Minimum 7+ years of experience in IT architecture, system integration, or software engineering. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with cloud-native integrations and enterprise system design. Strong foundation in multiple programming languages (e.g., .NET, Java, Python) and data management tools. Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, and tools like API gateways, messaging queues, and monitoring systems.
