Project Controls Associate The role involves designating work to be done and setting deadlines for tasks and deliverables. It requires applying standard theories, concepts, and techniques in a specialized field. The associate aids in tracking, monitoring, controlling, and resolving issues throughout the project lifecycle, providing solutions to various problems. The specific tasks are defined, but the methods are left to the individual's discretion. Responsibilities Providing project planning and scheduling documentation to support project and customer requirements. Supporting in-house or on-site work with planning and scheduling. Assisting Team Leads, Superintendents, and Project Managers in tracking projects against baseline schedules and budgets. Preparing periodic management and customer reports and presentations. Assisting in project proposal teams. Creating and revising preliminary master schedules before project start. Maintaining the master schedule, identifying impacts of work performed or not performed as scheduled. Evaluating progress and providing schedule updates. Interfacing with Operations to discuss work impact and resolve problems. Contributing to developing working schedules for estimating prior to proposals. Incorporating resource and cost loading data into schedules as needed. Collaborating with project team members to ensure proper planning. Creating short-term schedules, monitoring impacts, and helping correct scheduling issues. Providing schedule content, modification, or presentation information. Staying current with scheduling software advancements. Expanding professional knowledge and training skills. Assisting with project schedule fragments and equipment maintenance scheduling using CMMS software. Qualifications 6+ years of experience with a High School Diploma, or 4+ years with an Associate degree, or 0+ years with a Bachelor's degree. Preferred but not required: Experience with Project Management Software (e.g., PM Online), CMMS software (e.g., AS400), Primavera P6. Abilities Extended exposure to computer screens. Sitting for long periods. Reaching with hands or arms. Finger dexterity for manipulating objects like keyboards. Listening and understanding spoken information. Communicating effectively verbally. Reading and understanding written information. Applying rules to solve specific problems. Understanding others' speech.
