Job Summary - Corporate Finance & Reporting
The VP, Financial, Planning & Analysis leads the corporate forecasting, planning and reporting functions. This includes overseeing the development of the key drivers of the business that drive the planning and forecasting models for the business plan and forecast. In addition, the role would also oversee the end to end development of the monthly board package that translates complex financial data into clear, compelling narratives that inform strategic decisions and resonate with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities – Corporate Finance & Reporting Financial Planning Lead the development and execution of the financial planning process, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management to establish financial targets, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and monitor progress towards financial objectives. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and modeling to evaluate business performance, profitability, and adherence to budgetary constraints. Deliver insightful reports and presentations to senior leadership, highlighting critical findings, potential risks, and strategic opportunities. Proactively identify variances between actual and projected results and recommend corrective actions as necessary. Develop and maintain compliance with internal controls and model risk management requirements. Performs scenario analysis, stress testing and capital planning similar to CCAR/DFAST Oversees the development of the key business driver models including loan volume, delinquency, and revenue. Drive continuous process improvements and automation initiatives within the FP&A function to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Reporting Drives the end-to-end development and preparation of Cenlar Board materials and reporting including all executive presentations Develops and maintains financial calendar and coordination of Board deliverables Leads all financial reporting and internal/external reporting Drive and maintain internal daily dashboards Comply with internal control requirements to ensure timely, accurate and complete reporting Partners with finance executive leaders and CEO on key financial matters and summarizes information for Executive Committee and Cenlar Board of Directors Ensures the finance executive leaders are appropriately prepared for executive meetings as it pertains to financial information Prepares, coordinates and presents financial presentations to leadership Leads a team of Financial professionals and effectively applies performance management, engagement, and talent development activities across team Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, include but not limited to compliance and operational risk. Demonstrate consideration for Cenlar’s reputation as well as our clients, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards. Ensure all activities are in accordance with Cenlar’s approved risk appetite statement and applicable compliance and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in a financial management role Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and variance analysis. Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations. Ability to synthesize complex financial data into compelling business stories that influence executive-level strategy and drive cross-functional alignment. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of effectively managing teams and collaborating across functional areas. Strategic mindset focusing on driving continuous improvement and innovation within the FP&A function. Prior experience in Mortgage Banking or Mortgage servicing is preferred Proven leader who has the ability to influence and present at all levels of the organization Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Power Point, Word and Excel Excellent judgment, creative problem solving skills, results-oriented, collaborative, proactive Leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance initiatives
