Job Description Summary The
Director of Annual Giving
is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive annual giving program to secure support for the institution. This position plays a critical role in building a sustainable base of annual donors while cultivating prospects for major and planned gifts. The position reports directly to the Vice President of University Advancement.
Minimum Qualifications The successful candidate must have at least five years’ experience in fundraising, preferably in higher education. They should demonstrate success in annual giving, prospect identification, relationship building, and solicitation. Candidates must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, and be results-oriented. A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, along with a passion for higher education, is essential. Experience with CRM systems and fundraising databases is required.
Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree, Banner knowledge, and previous supervisory experience are preferred.
